Out Of Control Accountants Of The MVFD

“Lets have a closer look at that

IRS filing done by the Half Chief

Perrotti

Who authorized giving $ 18,623.00 to "members

in need". Is the MVFD a charitable organization

under the law?

In preparing the form did Perrotti mistakenly

depreciate equipment he claims the dept owns,

yet is actually owned by the town?

Gee, did the half-chief make a big mistake on

item VA concerning money?

Gee, did Perrotti make a mistake in claiming that

the charity basketball

game took in $ 95,756. and yet had

NO EXPENSES.

Perrotti's Pawn Shop--

is it his stuff to sell? HERE

For example, the $ 134.000 ambulance is owned by the

town yet is being depreciated by the privately owned MVFD. We

wonder if this and other items on the list are not mistakenly listed

as MVFD when in fact hey are owned by the town of Middlebury.”

First of all the MVFD Ambulance was purchased by the MVFD, and not by the Town.  On paper the ambulance itself is co-owned by both the MVFD Inc. and the Town.  The only reason for this is so that the vehicle will be covered by the Town’s insurance plan.  Thats about it.  No taxpayer money was used to purchase this vehicle.  This is one of the benefits of the ambulance billing system.

Here’s some news for Mr. DeAngelis.  Paul Perrotti does not prepare the MVFD Inc. tax return.  I would think that would be obvious since the return is signed by Lenkowski, Lonergan and Company LLP.  These are also the folks that the MVFD pays a substantial amount of money each year to audit our books.  Unless you believe that somehow Lenkowski and Lonergan et al are conspiring with the MVFD to do something illegal, then this is nothing more than another of Mr. DeAngelis’s inane attacks.

Pat Deangelis is a liar.

Pat Deangelis is a coward.

Pat Deangelis has sold out to former First Selectman Edward B. St. John.

Everything that Deangelis does is a distraction from the real problems of Middlebury that were caused by the errors or malfeasance of Ed St. John and Elaine Strobel.

The MVFD is not a problem, it is one of the shining jewels of Middlebury.

Tom Gormley is not a problem. Tom is an honest hard working guy, trying to deal with the economic problems that he inherited while at the same time fighting off sniping and sabotage by Deangelis and St. John.

Pat Deangelis is the anus of Middlebury.

This is the end result of 20 grand worth of FOI's. Yep, your tax dollars hard at work...

We are paying for Pattie's amusement. He is a bored retiree.

Obviously he has no other life than playing games and annoying everybody. Old Mr. Steinman looked like a saint by comparison. I never imagined a worse asshole would emerge in Middlebury.

I read with amused interest DeAngelis' BS today on the "Pit". It's obvious, at least according to him, that Lenkowski & Lonergan, a respected accounting firm, is willing to risk their entire business for the sake of "hiding" monies, and lying to the Federal Government. What's truly sad about the whole thing is that there are people who buy this BS. Much of what the MVFD does as far as depreciation, etc., was brought about due to Lenkowski & Lonergan. Also, please remember that this tax return is not the town department known as the Middlebury Vol. Fire Dept., but rather the 501-C3 MVFD, Inc. Fire & Incentive pay is Town funded, and therefore not reportable on the MVFD, Inc. tax return. Also, any monies earned for Ambulance Duty have no relation to being compensated for being the officers of the corporation, which is what that section of the tax return refers to. Anyone with any accounting background could explain that. Pat, my suggestion to you is to stick with what you are reportedly educated in, library matters. Your knowledge of generally accepted acounting principles is obviously sorely lacking.

Pattie is a "half-librarian".

All he knows is fiction

In today's Republican-American page 5B, Former First Selectman Edward B. St. John says that he plans to compare FOI notes with "blogger" Pat Deangelis.

Yeah, right.

Both of these guys in search of the truth?

Bull!

you mean "Doesn't pay his taxes fired half-librarian"

So, incentive pay is "town funded" ?

all this time they said "no public funds go to mvfd"

??

Maybe if you joined the MVFD and tried to do something good for this town rather then destroy it then you would be able to pay off your taxes owed with the 6 dollar a call and incentive pay. If you want to bitch and moan about us being paid then I deserve to get Minimum wage for what I do. Its really sad that it has come down to call pay to try to hammer the MVFD. Get a ******* life.

Pattie Have you been asked to go down to the good ship Lollipop and wax his dingy yet?

Hey genius! When did anyone ever say that no public funds went to the MVFD? Where do you think all the fire trucks came from, the Italian dinners, or is it from bake sales and car washes?

Deangelis and St. John

Doing their best to bring shame to Middlebury.

It would very interesting to review DeAngelis's and StJohn's income tax statements, same as Deangelis has been doing to the MVFD's. I wonder how much income StJohn declared for his involment on the Washington Drive Project or how much DeAngelis declared for losses for his garbage web site operation. Also, since StJohn has indicate that he wants to run for public office again, the voters of Middlebury should insist on public disclosure of all selectmen candidate's income tax information prior to the election!

Can anyone tell me how Ed St. John could possibly be of help to Middlebury?

St. John is the person who allowed Middlebury to get out of whack on Commercial versus Personal property taxes. He is the person who allowed all those cluster houses to be built so that hundreds of kids are flooding into Region 15. He is the one who gave us the Straw Pond fiasco. He is the one who allowed Oxford Airport to grow out of control. He is the one who built free roads and sewers for Washington Drive.

Once again, can anyone tell me how Ed St. John could possibly be of help to Middlebury?

On the other hand I'd suggest that Tom Gormley is doing pretty good in his first year, despite all the sabotage and back stabbing. Even though the economy is flagging, Tom has generated a lot of potential commercial development that will eventually offset all those cluster housing kids.

One thing I'll tell you is that nobody has come forward with any breakthrough ideas for Middlebury. There is plenty of talk and plenty of criticism and plenty of sabotage, but there is a huge lack of useful good ideas.

Eddie must be having a great day today when he sees that the Naugatuck RTC picked former First Selectman San Angelo as their 2009 candidate, ignoring current First Selectman Bronko.

"If the Naugatuck RTC can bring back a retired First Selectman then the Middlebury RTC can bring me back" must be going through his head.

Don't hold your breath, Eddie.
