“Perrotti asks his lawyer ( is the taxpayer paying for this lawyer---we know the taxpayer is paying for his OTHER lawyer ( Savarese). Anyway his asks his lawyer to ask for a continuance since he ( shock, shock) NEEDS MORE TIME BEFORE THE MEETING ON MONDAY July, 7TH.”
No the Taxpayer is not paying for the Fire Department Lawyer who is protecting the MVFD from Mr. DeAngelis's frivolous FOIs. The MVFD Inc. is paying for it. This means less money for scholarships, the Middlebury Food Bank, firehouse equipment and supplies, and the Little League. Money that the MVFD puts back into the community is being wasted on Mr. DeAngelis's FOIs.
To our knowledge Chief Perrotti never told the MVFD lawyer he needed more time. More time for what? To tell Mr. DeAngelis that he is not entitled to see the confidential information he is requesting to see.
He has already been told that and the MVFD will not be providing Mr. DeAngelis anymore information about private MVFD Inc. accounts either on July 7th or in September.
The funds are not funds derived from taxes, so Mr. DeAngelis does not have a right to see any of it, no matter how much Mr. St. John complains about it.
