Who Is Telling The Lie? You Be The Judge.

Latest Perrotti lie

“At the last budget meeting Paul Perrotti went up to an individual and

told another lie about Pat DeAngelis... that St. John gave DeAngelis the

decision of the judge. Not true at all.

Paul is no genius but even HE must know there is such a thing as the CT Judicial Website. If one has even half a brain one can access almost any public legal information.”

It is true that the Judicial Branch website is full of information, but none about the Perrotti \ St. John case.  It is not there and never was there, and will never be there.

If you do some research you will find out the following?

“The Judicial Branch website has Superior Court data only. This includes motions and party data. Data is provided for civil/family, criminal/motor vehicle and housing matters. For the actual court files and written opinions, are available by contacting the clerk's office at the court.

A couple of Superior Court decisions (ex. Wendt v. Wendt) have been published due to their highly controversial nature. However, this is rare.

Supreme and Appellate Court decisions are published when released at http://www.jud.state.ct.us/external/supapp/aro.htm#supreme  and http://www.jud.state.ct.us/external/supapp/aro.htm#Appellate  They are in PDF format. These files are generated on the typesetting system as part of the printing process for the weekly Connecticut Law Journal.”

So the truth is,

1) Superior Court decisions can only be obtained through the clerk’s office and are not published on the website.

2) Any decisions that are published are generated via the court’s typesetting system.  A typesetter is not a xerox machine, but part of the printing process for the Connecticut Law Journal.  This information, by the way, is copyrighted.  Mr. DeAngelis would have had to seek written permission to post it on his website if it actually ever existed, which it did not.

I just recieved the Bee*Intelligencer in the mail. On the front page is the article about Dr. St. John. If you look inside the paper you will see that the cut off for Editorial/Press releases is noon Monday preceding publication. The Republican American ran the story on Thursday. This means it was public knowledge on Wedensday. How did the Bee get the scoop before anyone else?

The date on the decision was Tuesday 9/9/2008. That means anyone could have gone to the courthouse on Tuesday and requested a copy for a dollar a page right after the Judge submitted it. If someone called the courthouse dilligently and discovered its filing they could have had a copy of the decision as early as Tuesday. Also the copies of the decision are typically mailed to the Attorneys at the time of the Judges filing so considering prevailing mail transit times of two or three or more days it is not unreasonable that people could obtain the decision before the parties to the case.

Why don't we talk about the other big lie in the same DeAngelis trash article. Foreclosures in Middlebury? Insinuating that Paul Perrotti is being foreclosed on? First of all, the case that I believe is being referred to is in the New Haven court. I don't believe any foreclosures in Middlebury are ever heard in New Haven, when we have a Superior Court in Waterbury that actively handles foreclosures, at least so it appears on their website. Secondly, a quick search of the name "Paul Perrotti" reveals a "Paul Perrotti", who lives in Hamden, which makes it much more likely THAT Paul Perrotti si the subject of foreclosure. The funny thing in it all is that Pat feels he has to resort to out-and-ot lies now, not just twisting facst to suit his (or Dr. St J's) purposes. Shame on you, Pat!!!! It sounds an awful lot like a lawsuit could be in Pat's future, if he keeps this up/
