Middlebury's Only True Blog of Middlebury News. There is nothing like the truth. Lies and distortions are not productive and not fair to those who unselfishly serve this town 24 hours a day. This includes Police, Fire, Commissions, Board Of Selectmen, and all others who volunteer their time. We encourage people to post whether we agree with you or not. When they stop telling lies about us, we will stop telling the truth about them. Adlai E. Stevenson.

oh great, let the foreclosures begin. 6% increase in taxes !
Well, If you can't afford it, sell now, and get out of town........Move somewhere with a more reasonable Bd of Ed, if there is such a thing....Meanwhile, the rest of us will enjoy some semblance of the quality of life we moved to Middlebury for in the firs place.
Great News!
This is a very reasonable budget. The town side was lowered more than 3%.
The school side needs to be chopped next time. Then we've got to sell more of the doctor's toys.
Thanks everyone! Middlebury is preserved.
I can hardly wait to see the police blotter tomorrow morning.
Those Deangelis lovers better get ready for some serious community backlash. Scum bags!
Pat is a hypocrite. Before the vote hes complaining that the budget is an insane increase and therefore must be voted down. However, as soon as the budget passes (and he realized he was on the losing side) he changes his tune to say that it was a "Mission Accomplished."
I would like to say thank you to all the voters who said yes to the budget, thank you for preserving Middlebury.
If you voted no and think the tax increase is too much, take it up with the region next year. The town budget cannot be cut anymore.
Don't spring for a ticker tape parade down White Ave. just yet. Dr. St. John and his lap dogs on the RTC are slimier than a herd of slugs and will not be dismissed so easily. You ain't seen nothing yet. Hat's off to John Cookson and his little white signs. Don't give up the fight!!!
