Former First Selectman Ed St. John wants to come back and save Middlebury from the troubles he created. As a Republican voter and tax-paying citizen of the Town of Middlebury, I say, “No thanks.”
Middlebury is in its current financial mess due to the mismanagement of the former administration. St. John had his chance and overstayed his welcome.
First Selectman Tom Gormley has done a great job cleaning up the mess he was handed. St. John left Middlebury in worse shape than he found it. I call on Middlebury Republican the Town Committee (MRTC) to honor its promise to support Gormley.
How about it Chairman Smith? Where does you allegiance lie, with First Selectman Gormley or MRTC member St. John?
