Not Enough Houses Catch On Fire In Middlebury

We hear that there is a structure fire in Middlebury once every 16 months.

Wrong again.  According to the MVFD website www.middleburyfire.org. In a little over one year period there have been three structure fires in Middlebury.

March 3, 2008 - Maples Restaurant.

October 12, 2007 - Ridgewood.

May 16, 2007 - Nantucket Way

---------------------------

The facts speak for themselves.  But, what is the point? Do you want people’s homes to burn?  The MVFD does not.  Structure fires are incredibly dangerous, and the members of the MVFD do not enjoy putting their lives at risk trying to save the lives and property of others. It is a sacred duty that the Firefighters of Middlebury have accepted since 1941.  Instead of listening to rumors, why not go to the source?

By the way the MVFD saved all 3 structures.
